Sewing For Pleasure Day Three

At last we managed to get some shopping done, bought some more boots, some wonderful vintage Japanese kimono silk and a piece of Linton Tweed on standby to jump in my bag tomorrow.

Not bad for three quarters of an hour!

My talk was very well received again today with lots of people coming back to the stand this afternoon to learn how to make professional tailors tacks.

Last week I gave my sister Wendy a crash course in making Knickers so that she had something to do whilst I have been giving my lecture every day. She finished her first pair today, here is the result (not bad for someone who doesn’t sew!).

 Wendys knickers

Tomorrow she is going to start a pair with lace on them.

It’s been great with everyone coming up and asking about the progress on the four day jacket challenge, so here is today’s instalment.

The collar is on and just starting work on the sleeves slightly disappointed that we can’t find any buttons at the show so may have to complete minus the buttons until I can get some.

Looking forward to seeing any of you that are coming to the last day of the show tomorrow, don’t forget to come and say hello. We are on stand no. B18 See you there.
